PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Rolls R48-100LFP ESS series is a single unit Energy Storage System (ESS). This battery is intended for installation in systems requiring between 4.92kWh and 157.44kWh of storage per DC system.

1	Handles	For handling, installation and disassembly of battery.
2	Ground	Chassis ground connection.
3	LOT	WIFI connection.
4	Negative Terminal	Inverter/charger or charge controller connection.
5	Dry contact	Channel input signal (left) & 2 channel output signals (middle/right)
6	Reset	Toggle sleep/awake mode or reset BMS in power on mode, see below for more information.
7	Leader/Follower	Used to indicate whether the module is a Leader or Follower battery, see below for more information.
8	Link IN/OUT	For internal communication.
9	DIP	Used to set the RS485 baud rate and the external inverter protocol.
10	RUN	Operation status, see Status Indicator Instructions for more information.
11	ALM	Indicates alarm/protection status, see Status Indicator Instructions for more information.
12	SOC	Indicates battery’s state of charge (SOC).
13	Power switch	Power battery on/off.
14	Positive terminal	Inverter/charger or charge controller connection.

Reset Interface

The reset button is indicated by the number 6, as seen above. Hold for three seconds to activate/deactivate sleep mode. To indicate the current mode, refer to the Status Indicator Instructions section of this manual. To reset the BMS in the regular operating mode, hold for 6 to 10 seconds.

Leader/Follower setup

Single Battery Setup: Ensure the button labeled 7 is toggled Off.

Parallel Setup (up to 32 units): Toggle button 7 to On for the Leader battery only. All Follower batteries must have this button toggled Off.
